1. Constable (WO/WT/OPR)
No of posts: 441 posts
- Unreserved: 312 posts
- OBC/MOBC: 90 posts
- SC: 21 posts

- ST (H): 02 posts
Education: 10+2 (Science) passed with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council. The candidates must have obtained pass marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) of 10+2 (Science) examination to apply for the post.
Salary: Rs.14,000-60,500/- (Pay Band II), with Grade pay of Rs.6,200/- and other admissible allowances.
2. Constable (UB)
No of posts: 02 posts
- Unreserved: 01 post
- OBC/MOBC: 01 post
Education: HSSLC or Class 12th Passed from a recognized Board or Council.
Salary: Rs.14,000-60,500/- (Pay Band II), with Grade pay of Rs.5,600/- and other admissible allowances.
3. Constable (Messenger)
No of posts: 14 posts
- Unreserved: 06 posts
- OBC/MOBC: 06 posts
- SC: 01 post
- ST (P): 01 post
Education: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV, MMV & HMV etc.

4. Constable (Carpenter)

Education: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV, MMV & HMV etc.

Other Details of APRO Recruitment:
Age Limit: Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2022 (i.e., Candidate must be born on or before 01/01/2004 and on or after 01/01/1997).
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- Trained Home guard: 3 years
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam. Selected candidates will have to submit proof of residence /Domicile Certificate after publication of the final select list. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.
Employment Exchange Registration Certificate: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
