Educational Qualification
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Pharma: M.Pharm / M.S (Pharm) / M.Tech (Pharm) in relevant subjects.
- Life Sciences: M.Sc / M.Tech / M.V.Sc in Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology or Life Sciences with NET qualification.
- Chemistry: M.Sc / M.Tech in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry or allied subjects with NET/GATE.
- Environmental Science: M.Sc / M.Tech in Environmental Science, Soil Science or related field with NET.
2. Research Associate (RA)
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Horticulture or related disciplines as per project requirement.

Selection Process for JRF & RA Posts
The selection process will be conducted in the following stages:
- Application Screening: Candidates must send their CV in prescribed format (Appendix ‘A’) to hrd.drl@gov.in on or before the last date. Applications will be screened based on qualification, NET/GATE score and age criteria.
- Walk-in Interview: Shortlisted candidates must appear physically at the DRL venue in Tezpur on the specified date.
- Document Verification: Original certificates including mark sheets, degree certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), NET/GATE proof and Aadhaar card must be produced for verification.
- Personal Interview: A selection board will evaluate subject knowledge, research aptitude and suitability for DRL projects.
- Medical Examination: Final selection may be subject to medical fitness clearance.
