Under this recruitment drive, a total of 109 Apprentice posts have been announced across two refinery units in Assam.

IOCL Apprenticeship Salary / Stipend

Selected candidates will receive stipend as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and rules of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).

  • Trade Apprentice: ₹8,000 – ₹9,000 per month (approx.)
  • Technician Apprentice: ₹9,000 – ₹10,500 per month (approx.)

Note: No additional benefits such as HRA, accommodation, or allowances will be provided during the apprenticeship period.

IOCL Apprentice Selection Process 2026

The selection process for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is simple and transparent. There will be no written examination conducted for this recruitment. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic performance and eligibility criteria.

  • No Written Exam: Selection will be done without any written test.
  • Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in the required qualification.
  • Preference: Preference will be given to candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time.
  • Merit List: A merit list will be prepared in descending order of marks.
  • Tie-Breaking Rule: In case of same marks, older candidate (by date of birth) will be given preference.
  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
  • Medical Examination: Final selection will be subject to medical fitness as per IOCL standards.

Final Selection: Candidates who successfully clear document verification and medical examination will be engaged as Apprentices.

Document Verification

Candidates shortlisted based on merit and subject to the number of available seats in respective trades/disciplines will be called for Document Verification. Candidates must bring the following original documents along with a self-attested copy:

  1. 10th Pass/Matriculation Certificate (Proof of Date of Birth)
  2. Class XII Marksheet OR Semester-wise/Year-wise Mark Sheets of ITI (Fitter) / Graduation / Diploma
  3. Class XII / Final ITI Certificate / Graduation / Diploma Certificate issued by respective Board/Authority
  4. Conversion Certificate from CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grade to percentage (if applicable)
  5. Certificate mentioning date of publication of result from the Principal of the Institute (if not mentioned in marksheet)
  6. SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD Certificate in prescribed format issued by competent authority
  7. Skill Certificate (only for applicable posts like Domestic Data Entry Operator, if required)
  8. Printout of NATS/NAPS registration with applicant details
  9. Affidavit confirming eligibility conditions (Annexure-A format)
  10. Any other relevant document as specified in the official notification

Note: Candidates must ensure all documents are valid and in proper format. Failure to produce required documents may lead to cancellation of candidature.
