The Supreme Court of India is inviting applications to prepare a panel of candidates for the following contractual assignment.

Eligibility Criteria of Law Clerk & Research Associate Job Vacancy
Candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions as mentioned in the official Supreme Court of India notification.Educational Qualification
# Candidates must be a Law Graduate having a Bachelor Degree in Law (including Integrated Degree Course in Law) from any School/College/University/Institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.# Candidates studying in the fifth year of the Five-Year Integrated Law Course or the third year of the Three-Year Law Course are also eligible to apply. However, they must furnish proof of acquiring the Law qualification before taking up the assignment.
# Candidates must have research and analytical skills, writing abilities, and knowledge of computers (including retrieval of information from legal search engines like e-SCR, Manupatra, SCC Online, etc.).
Age Limit
Candidates must not be below the age of 20 years and must not be above 32 years as on 07.02.2026.Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable Application/Test Fee through online mode only.Application Fee: ₹ 750/- plus bank charges

Salary / Pay Scale
The engagement is purely on a contractual basis. Selected candidates will receive a consolidated remuneration as mentioned below:Remuneration: ₹ 1,00,000/- per month
Selection Process
The selection process for the Supreme Court Law Clerk Recruitment 2026 consists of three phases:Part I (Multiple Choice Questions): Testing ability to understand and apply the law, and comprehension skills. This will be conducted in online mode.
Part II (Subjective Written Test): Covering writing and analytical skills. Candidates have to write answers in pen-paper mode.
Part III (Interview): Candidates who qualify Written Tests will be called for an interview.
Note: There will be negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer in the test.
