Eligibility Criteria of Assam Police Recruitment

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Citizen, permanent resident of Assam. 

 

Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently. 

 

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.

Age Limit: The age of the candidate as on 1st January 2023 should as per details mentioned below:

Boatman/ Constable/ Driver Constable: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.

Sub Inspector (UB): The age of the candidate should not be less than 20 years and not more than 26 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2003 and on or after 1st January 1997.

Grade IV (Assam Commando Battalions): The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.

Grade IV (Assam Police/DGCD & CGHG): The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 1983 and on or after 1st January 1998.

(a) Passed HSLC or equivalent examination under any Govt. recognized board.

(b) Proficiency in swimming

Constable (Communication): H.S. (Science) passed with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council. The Candidates must have obtained pass marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) in H.S. (Science) examination to apply for the post.

Constable (UB): H.S. or Class XII passed from Govt. recognized Board or Council.

Constable (AB): H.S.L.C or Class-X passed from Govt. recognized Board or Council.

Driver Constable: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.

Grade IV: Minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.

Safai Karmachari: Minimum Class VI passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.

Sub Inspector (UB): The Candidate must be a graduate in Arts /Science/ Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College / Institutions affiliated to a recognized University.

Sub Inspector (AB): The Candidate must be a graduate in Arts/Science/ Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/ Institution affiliated to a recognized University.

Sub Inspector (Communication): B.Sc. (Electronics Science/ IT/ Computer Science) (10+2+3 duration) 

or

 3-year Diploma from State Polytechnic in Electronics and Tele Communication, or Electronics or Information Technology, or Instrumentation or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent with 2 years work experience in the field of Electronics, Telecom, IT or allied environment. 

or

3-year Diploma from State Polytechnic in Electronics and Tele Communication, or Electronics or Information Technology, or Instrumentation or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent and 2 years additional course/courses in Telecommunication /IT /Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or equivalent. 

or

Master of Computer Application (MCA) 

or

Assam Police Common Application Portal:

The Assam Police Common Application Portal (APCAP) is a single, online platform for candidates to apply for all current recruitments in the Assam Police. It was launched in 2021 by the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, to streamline the recruitment process and make it more convenient for candidates.

The APCAP allows candidates to register themselves on the portal, view all the current vacancies in the Assam Police, and apply for the posts they are interested in. The online application form requires candidates to provide detailed information about their education, qualifications, and experience. They must also upload scanned copies of all relevant documents, such as their educational certificates, caste certificate, and income certificate.

Once the application form is submitted, candidates will receive a confirmation email and they can track the status of their application and download their admit card for the physical fitness test and written examination through the portal.

The APCAP has made the Assam Police recruitment process more convenient, transparent, efficient, and cost-effective for both candidates and the SLPRB.
