About Purabi Dairy
Purabi is the brand name for milk and dairy products manufactured by the West Assam Milk Producers’ Co-operative Union Ltd. (WAMUL). Approved by FSSAI, it is one of the largest dairy units in North East India. Established in 1976 under the Operation Flood Programme of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), WAMUL works to support milk producers and strengthen the dairy sector in Assam. The organization operates a fully automated liquid milk processing plant at Panjabari, Guwahati with a capacity of 1,50,000 liters per day and also runs a cattle feed plant at Changsari, Kamrup to support dairy farmers across the region.
